With over 30 years of working within the HR field and 15 of those in senior management positions, my HR career has taken me on some incredible journeys. I have worked with who I consider to be some of the most creative, inspiring and intelligent people at the top of their field. It is their passion that has inspired me to promote how HR can be really effective in the business world and how it’s an integral part of any company’s success.  I would say that this has made me a highly motivated, committed HR professional who thrives on providing a service that makes a real difference to businesses.

From working with recently purchased businesses that require support in changing culture through to closing companies down, I’ve been lucky enough to have been involved with most human resource management projects.

Here’s a few of the highlights of my work so far:

  • Design and delivery of ITV’s Engagement Campaign that resulted in a 30% uplift in staff engagement. Ensuring that engagement is seen as more than just the annual survey – working with leaders and managers to get the most out of their results and look at ways of improving what they do.
  • Creation of performance management programmes that are in-line with company strategy, including: the implementation of a new performance cycle; the design of supporting tools and materials; the delivery of management training across the board and responsibility for delivering an online performance management system.
  • Working with senior directors to create talent pipelines, identifying, attracting, developing and retaining talent including the development of succession plans and career ladders within senior teams.
  • Building leadership and management capability as part of learning and development programmes that support business strategies and transformation plans.
  • A vast amount of experience in managing the change process as a result of outside influences and internal demands, including a number of major restructuring and management initiatives to improve ways of working.
  • Working alongside directors in a number of business areas as an integral part of their senior management team, looking at organisational design, strategy and ways of working to enable success and empower people.
